01/03/2013, The Duckworth Lewis Method 2, recording sessions

The Duckworth Lewis Method have already completed a couple of recording sessions of their forthcoming second album which is due to be released in the summer in time for the ashes.
The main recordings were done in two weeks at Nick Seymour’s Exchequer Studios, Dublin, with the help of sound engineer Guy Massey. Guitarist Tosh Flood reported the session as good fun and very productive: “many laughs during the making of it as well as career best work from everyone involved!” He also described the album “like pop heaven but with added cricket references and some death metal”.
These session were completed with a String Section recorded in London this week and conducted by Andrew Skeet. An short video from the recording is available thanks to Thomas Walsh.
No concrete information has been revealed about the album yet, but we know that it will feature many many guests. Rumoured names include trumpeter Bill Cooper, Dave Gregory (XTC) , Matt Berry, Alexander Armstrong, Chris Addison, Henry Blofeld, Phill Jupitus and Dermot Magennis.
